Autumn News

You know what we seriously considered??? Flying to Brazil to the Lollapalooza Festival to see Pearl Jam. But because we already spent all our cash on watching the Foo Fighters open the most epic new East Coast venue in DC (see “GIGS”), we doubt our bank manager will justify that it would be worth the flight fare. Even though it is Pearl Jam we are talking about- speaking of:

Sonos and Pearl Jam have teamed together to host extended screenings of the documentary “Let’s Play Two” in selected cities this week. If you’re a fan, you should try and go- it will be the first time you have the opportunity to view 45 minutes of not seen in theatres footage before the official home video release later in November.

We are a bit bummed that we missed Paramore’s ex-drummer’s return to the band onstage at London’s Royal Albert Hall last June. Zac Faro left in 2010 and surprised the audience with his drum return, only to come back on stage for the encore with his solo project HALFNOISE.

Zac’s debut “Scooby’s in the Back” from his EP “The Velvet Face” reminds me of The La’s, Inspiral Carpets, but with a bit of sunshine, rainbow and nuts taken from The Beach Boys maybe. Completely worth listening to.

Another band which is bit retro, but so much more refreshing compared to a lot of their peers, are The Strypes. Check these Irishmen out on their upcoming tour of Germany in January.
