HOT! HOT MILK

HOT MILK have today released their debut album "A CALL TO THE VOID" and a new single "OVER YOUR DEAD BODY".

"A call to the void represents the dichotomy of life, the comedy and the tragedy of being a human alive on this floating rock. Two minds became one through this record.  We opened our chest 'n it’s time for you to devour it. Hot Milk is an emotion." says the band

LISTEN TO "OVER YOUR DEAD BODY" HERE - it is a perfect combination of honest lyrics underlined by a bass line that will blow your socks off. We cannot wait to hear this song live!

HOT MILK have been one of the hardest working bands we have ever had the pleasure of following. They have left nothing to chance and with their determination and discipline have landed not only well deserved fans, but supporters in the industry both behind the scenes but also on stage, where they have supported no other than Foo Fighters to touring with bands like Pale Waves and their own headline sold-out shows to over 50 million streams of the EPs alone.

The band recorded the album between Manchester, Los Angeles and Stockholm and Jim Shaw produced the majority of the record himself, again, a token to their drive and direction.

In French, the phrase, “J’appel du vide”, means the brain’s trick of spotting opportunities to die, that bridge which looks big enough, that building that looks high enough to jump off, but I see “A CALL TO THE VOID”, the English translation, not as a negative jolt, but a reminder that life is, indeed, finite.

Han has been very open about her emotions and her connection to music as a vent.

“Live is where I’m happiest, live is where it’s home,” says Han. “We wrote songs with the intention of people going off, making you feel good, opening the pit up, letting go, crying, getting on your mate’s shoulders.  It’s Church for us.”

HAPPY RELEASE DAY TO WAGE WAR!

It’s 1st October today and guess what?! Florida hard rock quintet WAGE WAR — Briton Bond [lead vocals], Cody Quistad [rhythm guitar, clean vocals], Seth Blake [lead guitar], Chris Gaylord [bass], and Stephen Kluesener [drums] — release their fourth and brand-new album ‘Manic’  TODAY!

They spoke to us about the upcoming album, “after a long wait, and endless hours of work, we could not be more ecstatic to announce our new album Manic. We've spent the entire last year working so hard to bring you the best Wage War yet, and we've never been more sure that we've accomplished that.“

Their first single of the record ‘Circle the Drain’, “is a song about learning from past mistakes and accepting responsibility in a world that needs change. It starts with us deciding to be a part of the solution.” Listen the ‘Circle The Drain’  HERE.

The new album on a whole has been long awaited by fans and industry alike. The drummer, Steve Kluesner comments,
"’Manicencompasses everything we’ve gone through as musicians in the last year-and-a-half. The whole industry halted, and we technically lost our jobs. Our scene was among the first to leave and the last to come back. The album captures the whole period."
Cody Quistad adds saying, "’Mania’ is a wild emotion. The last year was all severe highs and lows. We had some victories, but we've also had so many low points. We've built this thing for the last 10 years and put all of our chips into it. We've missed birthdays and funerals, but we've done some extraordinary things. Last year, we found ourselves wondering if it would ever come back. That's really what the album is about."

Judge for yourselves- I believe Wage War’s new album is a continuation of 2019’s ‘Pressure’, which landed on Loudwire’s ’50 Best Metal Albums of 2019’. With this new collection they will reach new heights and we are looking to seeing them live again real soon.

‘Manic’ is out now on Fearless Records and can be ordered here.

Happy Release Day!
